Heading away for a week, or just tired of the daily watering-can shuffle? The Smart Drip kit pumps water from a bucket to up to 15 pots on a schedule you set. No tap, no plumber, no drilling, so it suits renters, balconies and courtyards.
Why you'll love it
- No tap needed: it draws water from any bucket or tub, so it works on balconies without an outdoor tap
- Two pumps, two lines: run one line to thirsty veggies and another to your herbs or indoor plants
- Set and forget: choose the start time, how long it waters and how often; settings stay saved if power drops
- Easy power: recharge by USB, with a small solar panel included to help top the battery up
- Holiday helper: set it up a few days before you leave and do a test run so you know how long your bucket lasts
Good to know
- How long a bucket lasts depends on its size, how many drippers you use and your schedule. Run it for a few days before you go away.
- Bucket pumps suit pots and planters. For a whole garden bed off a tap, a tap-fed drip system is a better fit.
